12/01/21- Art
One
of my most favorite hobbies is photography. I love to take photos in my spare
time.
Did you know, photography is the art of drawing with the eye. Yes! Taking photos is a form of art too!
However, in 1666 were there any cameras? No, cameras had not yet been invented so artists that
were alive during the Great Fire of London painted what they could see.
This is how we learnt more about what the fire was really like. Here are some paintings that artists from 1666 created, the artists are unknown.
Now,
talk to an adult about what you can see. Can you use some of the key vocabulary, here is a reminder:
. Colour- bright, deep, dull, cold, pale, pastels,
vibrant, warm and soft.
. Shape- circular, flat, angular, size, form, organic,
geometric and fluid.
. Texture- bumpy, polished, rough, smooth, silky, spiky,
fuzzy, hard, glossy.
If you leave a comment in the comment box maybe Mrs.
Hussain will share some of her own photographs on the blog!
